Haven is a simple way of getting help from Canadians

After you’ve created your account, there are two main ways of getting help from Canadians.

1. Create a request

On Haven, Canadians post offers and refugees post requests

By posting a request, you are asking for help with a specific task. Once your request is posted, Canadians will be able to send you a message if they are able to help you

Once you have accepted a Canadian’s response, it’s a match and we put you two in touch!

2. Respond to a Canadian’s offer

Canadians post offers for help on Haven. Once you make your account, you’ll be able to see these offers on the Discover page. You’ll also be able to filter these offers by location, by offer type, and by Canadians whose offers match your requests.

Once you’ve found a Canadian that you want help from, you can respond to their offer. Once that Canadian has accepted your response, it’s a match!

Canadians want to help refugees coming to Canada. This help can be big or small - from helping you get a job, to meeting for a coffee and welcoming you to Canada
