Refugees struggle to find work in Canada, even though they have experience and are ready to work.
For many Ukrainian and other refugees, this is because they do not have a Canadian network and do not have Canadian work experience. They are starting from zero.
We need Canadians to help refugees find work. Canadians can do this by either:
Mentoring: Improving a refugee’s resume - Get on a 30 minute call, learn about a refugee’s work experience, and help them improve their resume.
Mentoring: Helping refugees grow their network - Meet refugees who are recruiting for your industry and offer recruiting advice, or introduce them to your network. Learn more.
Recruiting: Hiring refugees - If you are recruiting, post a job offer that may be open to refugee candidates. Learn more.
