A major part of finding a job in Canada is networking. This means meeting Canadians in your industry, getting career advice from them, and getting their help in meeting more Canadians and being connected to job opportunities.
Once a Canadian has reviewed your resume, you can begin to network with Canadians.
Step 1: Make a post on Haven asking for help with looking for a job.
You can then wait for Canadian to contact you. You can also look at the “Discover” page, and see what help Canadians are offering.
Step 2: Schedule a 30 minute call with the Canadian supporter. If possible, try to do a video call.
Step 3: During the call, say more about your work experience and what kind of job you are looking for in Canada.
Step 4: Ask the Canadian about advice on finding a job in this industry, and if they know anyone who works in this industry.
If they know someone who might be able to help, ask them for an introduction to that person.
If they do not know anyone, you can ask for them to write a post on LinkedIn or their other social media, so that if anyone in their network knows someone
